Welcome to our website :)
Hello, welcome to our site! Nevy-Burrows and Foxy-Falls is home to our stud of Netherland dwarfs and our Silver foxes. Our stud is based in Wroxham area in Norwich, Norfolk. We are breeders and exhibitors of the 2 breeds mentioned above, In Netherland Dwarfs we have Siamese and marten sable, REW, Blue and black otters and occassionally Himalayain. We started our stud of rabbits in Januaray 2011 and it is a great hobby, we loved the first couple of shows and now were stuck! We think this a very enjoyable hobby and hope to be in it for years to come. This all started when me and my little sister got Nibble and Midnight on 6/01/2011 and now we have quite a few more. Everything to do with the bunnies is done between Me, my mum and my little 3 year old sister, this includes the feeding and changing of water, cleaning them all out, preparing and showing them. I usually take charge when it comes to breeding them as I have a close bond with all the females and they allow me to get close to the babies, mum and Evie get involved when the babies are old enough :)
We are registered to the BRC and most of our buns are BRC rung, We also ring all show type babies. We are registered to the NNDRC (national netherland dwarf rabbit club) and are now a member of the East Anglian rabbit club. These are all great clubs and send you really nice info books and packs when you first join to help you when starting out. We also receive the Fur & Feather and attend shows advertised in there, this is a great magazine to read and there are some great pictures of the shows too. We hope one day our bunnies will have their picture in this magazine :)
Also just so everybody knows, these bunnies are all pets and we treat them like any other pet rabbit or possibly better as they get a bath before shows and their maintenance is higher than that of a pet rabbit, they must be kept healthy, clean and tidy :) They are treated like kings and queens. We have them out running around the garden on a rota so they all get a turn, which they love. They all have brilliant temperaments and are soo friendly. We are not using our girls as breeding machines and will never mate up an ill doe or an underweight doe, our does will be mated up once or twice a year. Also bunnies that are ill or underweight will not be shown. We also provide after care for the bunnies once they have been to a show, bunnies that go to shows will get stressed by the car journey and also all the excitement throughout the day, we provide avipro plus ( a power added to their water) This will just help to settle their bellies and keep them eating and drinking well.
Any money made from babies is put back into the bunnies care (they even have their own money box) We will use the money to buy their food/treats, water bottles, hutches, bedding and vets if ever needed, also necessaries things like, brushes for their coats, new shampoos, mineral blocks, other meds they might need and toys :)
We will occasionally have show type/pets bunnies for sale and also the odd adult bunny, females will often be seeking a retirement home (we are looking into neutering all retired female before sale as to make sure they won't be used for breeding in their new homes) There may also be the odd boy to go to retirement homes. I have had some help from some great people to get the bunnies I have today and once established I would like to be able to do the same for other people. Please contact me for any info on bunnies available! Also visitors welcome :)
